With a wealth information circulating online, we know how frustrating researching charge point models, working out what funding is available and studying installation regulations can be, but we are here to help!
Evolution was founded with the mission of providing a simple and efficient EV installation service for all, so to make things easier, we have compiled the four steps that make up the installation process, from contact to completion and in this short post, we will cover; initial contact, surveys and quotes, grants and available funding, installation and lastly, after care.

1) Contact
The road to being EV ready at your place of work or home all starts with a call to our customer care team!
By calling 0141 471 7970, you will be connected to one of our EV Advisors, who, after taking some basic information, will set the wheels in motion towards your installation date being set.
With a wealth of knowledge, our support team are here to guide you through your entire journey, from inquiry to installation and are on hand at any time during and after the process to answer any and all questions or concerns that you may have.
2) Survey and Quote
With Evolution, carrying out a survey could not be easier!
We use both desktop and on-site surveys, which means we are able to process potential installations quickly and efficiently, no matter your location.
More often than not we are able to schedule your survey during our first phone call and doing so could not be easier.

3) Grants
You may know that government funding is available for EV charge point installations but do you know what you are eligible to apply for?
The model of your vehicle, if you have off road parking or not, even the charge point you are looking to install, all play a part in deciding what funding you are and aren’t eligible to apply for.
What funding Is available to me and how do I apply?
Depending on where you live there are two types of funding which you may apply for and these are available from the Office for Low Emission Vehicles and the Energy Saving Trust.
A £500 grant is available from OLEV and is available UK wide, while grants from the Energy Savings Trust, totalling at £300, are available to Scottish residents only.
Am I eligible for funding?
In order to be eligible for any funding the vehicle must either be already owned or on order.
Grants and applications are NOT available to anyone who does not yet own an electric vehicle and grants cannot be applied for by anyone other than the owner of the vehicle themselves.
For example; If a friend or relative owns an electric car and you would like an installation so that they can charge at your home, you cannot apply on their behalf.
Furthermore, should you have already taken advantage of the funding available, you will not be able to do so again.
All grant applications must be confirmed before the installation of your EV charge point can begin.
Only once your application has been approved can installation take place but thankfully, applying through Evolution EV Charging could not be easier.

4) Installation
So, it’s time for your installation to be completed but what does that mean for you?
Apart from granting access to the premises, our expert installation team will take care of everything, leaving you with nothing to worry about.
Using Charge Check testing equipment, our installation team never leave without ensuring a current is established and that you will be able to charge your vehicle immediately.
